Frequently asked questions answered. Prepare your shoot at one of our spaces to carefully read this page. Here you can find everything you need to know before booking, visiting and shooting one of our spaces. Preparation is everything. See you soon!

The living room

the address

Our address is Meester Treublaan 3 Amsterdam, located in the building of LOKAALLOKAAL. Easy to reach from the highway A10 or Amstel Station.

The entrance is the right red door of the building, next to the glass display case.

Please call us at +31207235168 to pick you at front of the building. We do not have doorbell.

There’s no elevator in the building of THE LIVING ROOM and therefore not wheelchair accessible. THE LIVING ROOM photo studio is located on the second floor.

We are always willing to help you carry.

Yes, paid parking is possible on the street in front of the building LOKAALLOKAAL.
Costs: €4.50 per hour.

Paid parking is possible during weekdays in the parking garage next-door: Parkbee Spaces Amstel.
Costs: €2.50 per hour.

Can I extend my time slot?

When you need more time, you can upgrade your time slot for an additional fee of €50 per half hour. You can determine and pay this on the spot.

If there’s another booking after you, it’s not possible to upgrade. So we cannot guarantee upgrade possibilities. Our advice: book a wider time slot if you want to be sure.

How many people fit in the studio?

THE LIVING ROOM is 60m2 in size. We recommend booking the studio with a maximum of 6 people. In THE LIVING ROOM you wil find six chairs and two sofa’s. 

Is there storage for my stuff?

There’s extra storage space inside The Living Room. Ask the host where you can put your bas.

It’s not allowed to put anything in the hall way. We always recommend you to put it in the storage.

 

WIFI

There is wifi in our spaces. Passwords can be found on the QR code display.

Are food & beverages included?

Coffee, tea and water are included in your booking and available in both studios. We also have oat milk and sugar.

If you want to order something for your lunch, take a look at our recommendations:

 

shoes-off policy

To keep our floor clean, bright and white, we work with a shoes-off policy. We also have shoe covers available. Don’t use the space with your shoes.

Only models can wear shoes. Be aware of shoes and soles that stain the floor. Wipe marks off immediately. 

If you don’t take care of the floor, we have to charge you for repainting the floor up to 2000€.

It’s not allowed to put anything in the hall way. We recommend you to put it in an area, which you will not use. Or put it in your car.

The loft

the address

Our address is Timorplein 37 Amsterdam, located in the building of STUDIO K and STAY OKAY. Easy to reach from the highway A10 or Muiderpoort Station and Tram 14.

The entrance is at the Borneostraat and tram way side. Door with ‘kantoren / offices’ on a yellow sign above. We do have doorbell, please ring the intercom at 37.

 

load/unload

THE LOFT: Before 09:00am and after 06:00pm it’s possible to unload in front of the door. 

Between 09:00am and 06:00pm please use the load/unload temporary parking spaces 50 meter further on the left side of Timorplein square, in front of STAYOKAY.

IMPORTANT: Make sure make sure you consider the neighbors and the shops!

with elevator

There’s an elevator in the building of THE LOFT and therefore wheelchair accessible. THE LOFT photo studio is located on the second floor.

Paid parking

Yes, paid parking is possible on the street around Timorplein and the building.
Costs: €4.50 per hour.

doorbell at 37

We do have our own (shared) doorbell, please ring 37. Go to the second floor and ring 37 again.

How many people fit in the studio?

Our space is 125m2 in size. We recommend booking the studio with a maximum of 10 people.

Can I extend my time slot?

When you need more time, you can upgrade your time slot for an additional fee of €75 per half hour. You can determine and pay this on the spot.

If there’s another booking after you, it’s not possible to upgrade. So we cannot guarantee upgrade possibilities. Our advice: book a wider time slot if you want to be sure.

Is there storage for my stuff?

There’s extra storage space inside our studio. It’s not allowed to put anything in the hall way.

We recommend you to put at the entrance, where the coffee corner is.

not allowed

The stairs in The Loft can only be used by one person at a time and may not be used above the sixth step. Always follow the host’s instructions. 

It is not allowed to use the swing with more than one person at the time.

BOOKINGS

How can I book?

Our studios are available for 2/4/8/12 hours in fixed time slots per studio. You can view our live agenda for available time slots. You can schedule your moment immediately. Complete the payment within one hour and your booking is confirmed.

Can I book for 1 hour?

We only have 2/4/8/12 hour time slots available. One hour is unfortunately not a possibility.

Can you save the date for me?

First come first serve.

We can’t reserve your date for a few days. Please make sure you book the date when you have your team ready. 

We can never guarantee the availability of a date and time.

The time slot is not availalbe

If your preferred date and time slot is not available anymore, it’s already booked by someone else.

Please make sure you don’t wait too long to book while it’s still free.

When do I pay?

You always pay upfront. 

When scheduling with us, we ask for the payment. Please always complete the payment within one hour or your booking will be canceled. 

Can I enter before my time slot starts?

No. Please make sure your project and plans fit within your scheduled time slots.

We are ready for you 5 minutes before the time slots starts and you have to be ready when it ends. 

Where can we do the make-up?

No, unfortunately we don’t have an extra room on the location. Therefore, we can not let you in before your time slot starts.

Most of our clients do the make-up at home and the last tough-ups at our studio.

You can also extend your booking within a half hour if this is possible in our schedule. Please be aware that you have to pay an additional fee per extra half hour.

How do I receive my guests?

You are responsible for receiving your own guests, such as models or photographers. We recommend sharing your phone number with your client and the people that you are working with in the studio. Please do not let anybody else, who isn’t a part of your team, enter the building or the studio.

Is there a host during my time slot?

Our host will always be working at the big table in the studio during the time slot (with the exception of private bookings). For all your questions and great coffees.

The host doesn’t pick up your guests downstairs or manages your shoot. You are responsible for your production. 

Can I use the space in private?

Private bookings are possible for an additional fee, depending on the duration of your booking.
2 hours: €50
4 hours: €100
8 hours: €150

You can pay the additional fee at the checkout of your booking.

Can I reschedule my booking?

You can only reschedule by informing us via email: hi@atelieroost.amsterdam.

The first time rescheduling is free of charge and possible up to 72 hours before your time slot starts.

If you reschedule a second time, we charge €50 excluding VAT. 

When you reschedule within 72 hours in advance, we charge 50% of the booking fee. If you reschedule within 24 hours we charge 100%.

Please read our booking conditions carefully. 

 

Can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking up to 72 hours in advance. We do not give any refunds.

There are two options with a cancelation:

  1. You can reschedule with us.
  2. You can transfer your booking to somebody else.

Please inform us in any case.

When you have to reschedule within 72 hours in advance, we charge 50% of the booking fee. If you reschedule within 24 hours we charge 100%.

We will reschedule your booking one time. We do not give any refunds.

Please always have a backup team ready for your shoot. We’re not responsible for your cancellation. 

What if I break something?

This can happen. Don’t you worry. Please let us know when it happens. So we can solve this with the insurance.

What if the weather is bad?

The one thing we cannot change is the weather. Sometimes it happens that the weather is bad and the day is dark.

As we are a daylight studio, we always recommend photographers to bring (back up) lightning. We do not have lightning available for you.

Schedule responsible

Atelier Oost Amsterdam is not responsible for the planning or suppliers of our customers. In the event of cancellation, the general terms and conditions apply at all times.

Equipment

As we are a daylight studio, depending on the weather. We always recommend photographers to bring their own equipment and (back up) lightning.

We do not have any equipment available for you.

Yes, of course you can bring children to our studio. Please be aware that there are breakable items in the spaces. We would highly recommend to keep an eye on your children.

No pets allowed

No, unfortunately it is not allowed to bring any animals to our studio. But we would love to see some pictures of your pet.

No fire and smoke

Because of the safety instructions of the building, you are not allowed to use any kinds of smoke, fire, fireworks, etcetera.

Collaborations

We are not placing any barter deal bookings. At this moment we’re not open to any collaborations. 

 

Use of our imagery

You can use a selection of our photos and imagery for your promotions. Please email us for for permission and the access to the image gallery.

Visits

First come first serve.

We can’t reserve your date for a few days. Please make sure you book the date when you have your team ready. 

We can never guarantee the availability of a date and time.

location visit

Yes, you can visit us outside booking hours. You can visit us appointment only. Please call us to make an appointment to visit our studios. 

Pre-payment only

You always pay upfront. 

When scheduling with us, we ask for the payment. Please always complete the payment within one hour or your booking will be canceled. 

Invoice

You will receive an invoice after the payment is completed.

For administrative reasons we do not place bookings on invoice

discounts

We do not work with any discounts on bookings. Our mission is to treat everyone equally in our studios.

If you’re planning to shoot at The Loft more often, check out our credit system.

Can I move the furniture?

Yes, it’s allowed to move all furniture inside the studio. 

It’s not allowed to put our furniture in the hall way, outside of the studio. It’s also not possible to switch furniture between the studios. 

 

can I hang wall decorations?

Unfortunately we cannot put any nails and screws in the wall. You can use TESA sticky nails. Keep in mind that you will not damage the walls.

Can I bring children to the studio?

The studio is not a playground.

Yes, of course you can bring children to our studios. Please be aware that there are breakable items in the spaces. We would highly recommend to keep an eye on your children.

No running allowed.

No pets allowed

No, unfortunately it is not allowed to bring any animals to our studio. But we would love to see some pictures of your pet.
